Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply from 18.5.2022 until further notice.

Online Store

Espressivo (VAT Registration Number 1561277-1) sells products to consumers in Finland and within the EU. In order to shop with us, you must be 18 years of age or older. All prices include Finnish VAT. We reserve the right to make adjustments to product prices and shipping costs as needed.

1. Purchase

A purchase is valid only once Espressivo has confirmed the order through an order confirmation. An order confirmation will be sent automatically to your email address after the order has been received, usually within a couple of minutes. A prerequisite for the automatic order confirmation to be sent is that you have provided a valid and working email address during the checkout process.

If the estimated delivery time for the order is significantly changed, the client will be notified as soon as possible. If there are changes to delivery time and/or prices the customer has the right to cancel the order. For products that are ordered especially from the manufacturer on the customer’s request, the order can no longer be cancelled once the product has left the factory. Espressivo maintains ownership and withdrawal rights to all products until full payment has been made by the customer.

2. Price

Prices include Finnish VAT for all orders delivered within the EU. Unless otherwise is specifically stated in the product information, shipping costs are not included in the price. No handling costs are added. In the case of obvious mistakes in the price list, for example an expensive product listed at an impossibly low price, the product in question will not be sold at this price. After the order has been confirmed the price can only change due to circumstances beyond our control, for example, significant changes in commodity prices, shipping costs or taxation. If there is a change in price the customer can cancel the order without any cost.

3. Shipping

The shipping costs within Finland are calculated according to the current prices of Posti Oyj, Matkahuolto Oy, and DHL. Our online store will automatically calculate the approximate shipping costs according to the weigh of the order. In exceptional cases, for example if the shipping costs are determined by the volume of the order rather than the weight, Espressivo reserves the right to adjust the shipping costs accordingly. In such an event the customer will be notified before a final contract for purchase is considered official.

4. Payment options

Espressivo’s webstore currently offers two payment methods: invoice and MobilePay – both are secure and free to use.

When choosing invoice as payment method existing customers automatically get a 14 day net invoice. For products shipped directly from Espressivo the invoice is always included with the shipment, for coffee orders delivered directly from the roastery the invoice is sent digitally in PDF format to your email address. Expired payments are subject to charges and interest rates in accordance with Finnish legislation.

New customers get a proforma invoice sent by email. The proforma invoice is usually sent within 24 hours of Espressivo receiving the order. The ordered products are delivered as soon as the proforma invoice has been paid in full.

When choosing MobilePay as payment method the customer can use any payment method he or she has added inside the MobilePay application, including bank cards and credit cards. When choosing MobilePay the customer will receive an invoice to their Mobilepay registered phone as soon as Espressivo has verified the order. The MobilePay invoice is usually sent within 24 hours of Espressivo receiving the order.

5. Deliveries

Products in stock are normally processed the same day if the order is made before 13.00. Delivery from Espressivo’s own stock usually takes about 1-3 working days to arrive within Finland.

In the case the product is ordered especially directly from the manufacturer, shipping times are typically somewhat longer. In these cases an estimated delivery time is given in the specific product details. Espressivo assumes no liability for delays that are outside of our control or for any inconvenience that the delay may have caused the customer. However, in the case of longer delivery times we do our best inform our customers by email and on our website – and, in the case of a delay, the customer does even have the right to cancel the order without any costs.

There is also the possibility that a product may run out of stock before we have a chance to update the information in our online store, in which case we will provide the customer with the estimated delivery time by email. The parcels are delivered by Posti Oy or other courier services to a pickup location or are delivered directly to the address of the customer.

6. Delivery delays

Sometimes delivery delays may occur that are outside of our control. For example when a supplier can not meet its delivery obligations to us. If this happens, we have no liability to the customer for any damage or inconvenience that the delay may have caused. We will inform the customer, via the email address given, about any delays as soon as they come to our knowledge.

Delivery delays can also occur in the event that the delivery service experiences problems after the delivery has been shipped – i.e. because of rough weather conditions, holidays etc. We can not do anything in such cases. Even in these cases, we have no liability to the customer for the damage that the delay may cause.

7. Risk of transportation

We are responsible for the transportation to our customers. You, and the carrier, are responsible for contingent transportation back to us.

8. Damaged goods

When you receive your products it is important to verify they are not damaged. If the parcel has been damaged during transportation it is important to make a complaint to the carrier responsible for the delivery (i.e. Posti, Matkahuolto or DHL) before signing for and accepting the shipment.

If the products are damaged or incorrect in any way, contact us as soon as possible via email at myynti@espressivo.fi.

9. Cancellation/returning policy

In accordance with the Finnish distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased for a full refund within 14 days of receipt. In order to be accepted, any returned goods must be unused and in the original sales package. Coffee and cleaning products can not be returned if the package has been opened. When cancelling/returning a product the customer pays for the shipping costs.

If you wish to return or exchange a product you must first contact Espressivo by email. Be sure to include your full name, customer number, which product(s) you wish to exchange and your bank account number so that we can issue your refund.

10. Warranty

Product warranty is determined by the warranty policies of each manufacturer and the length of the warranty period is stated in the product details. For espresso machines and coffee grinders the manufacturer’s warranty is usually 1 year. Consumables, such as coffee and cleaning products, do not have a product warranty.

Returning a product within the warranty period is free for the customer. However, this requires that the customer has first contacted Espressivo and reached a mutual agreement that the product in questions should be returned under warranty. In cases where it is quicker and more convenient for both parties, Espressivo and the customer may also reach an agreement that the warranty spare parts needed will be sent to the customer instead of returning the entire appliance.

Espressivo reserves the right to verify the product faults reported by the customer. These tests are not carried out while the customer is waiting, since the testing process can last several days. If a product has obviously been returned for no good reason, the customer will be charged for all the expenses associated with the return. These expenses include shipping costs as well as the troubleshooting work performed by Espressivo.

Espressivo assumes no liability for product malfunctions that are due to operator error. Physically opening and/or modifying the product also voids the warranty, unless otherwise has been specifically agreed upon with Espressivo.

11. Complaints

If you want to complain about a damaged or defective product, you should contact us via email as soon as possible. You must contact us via email for further instructions before returning anything. Remember that you are responsible for the freight back to us.

In case of a dispute we follow the recommendations of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.

12. Refunds

Refunds are issued directly to the bank account specified by the customer. The refund is made as soon as possible after we have received and accepted your return.

13. Limitation of liability

We reserve the right to make changes in prices due to large price deviations from our suppliers, typos or other errors that are beyond our control. Learn more about unforeseen events under Force Majeure below.

We assume no liability for potentially erroneous information on our website. While we strive to make sure all information is completely accurate, the website content may unintentionally contain information that is mistaken, incomplete or misleading. We assume no liability for any damage that may have incurred due to information on our website. We are also not liable for incorrect usage of the products sold in our online store or for use of these products in general.

14. Privacy policy

When purchasing a product in our online store and registering a customer account you agree to us using the information provided only in order to provide the products and services you expect from us. In accordance with the personal data act you have the right to request any information we have stored about you, and if you consider this information to be wrong or irrelevant you can demand that it is corrected or completely removed from our records. In such case, please contact our customer service by email at myynti@espressivo.fi. Under no circumstances will we sell or transfer your personal details to any third party.

15. Uncollected goods

When a parcel is sent to a pickup location you will be notified by email or text message. It is your responsibility as a customer to provide an accurate delivery address and email address when you place your order.

In the event that the parcel is not collected from the pickup location you will be charged for the costs of returning the parcel as well as an administrative fee of 30 euro.

16. Force Majeure

In the event of war, natural disaster, industrial action in the labour market, government decisions and similar events beyond our control which are not reasonably foreseeable, and affect the contractual agreements and pledges from our side, which means that we can not keep that agreement/pledge, shall constitute that we are released from our obligations to fulfil those agreements and/or pledges.
